MVD’s Road Safety Sticker Campaign Creates Awareness in B’la
Baramulla,January 17: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) officials in Baramulla undertook a significant initiative today to bolster road safety by distributing road safety stickers to motorists at various taxi stands.
Led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Muazzam Ali, MVD officials actively engaged with the community at Sumo Stand Baramulla. The campaign extended to affixing stickers on two-wheelers, maxi cabs, and other vehicles, aiming to promote safe driving practices among commuters.
Emphasizing the importance of adherence to road safety norms, the campaign targeted discouraging mobile phone usage while driving, along with addressing the risks associated with drinking and driving, overloading, and overspeeding.
ARTO Muazzam Ali expressed the department’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of road safety. Similar events are planned throughout the month to sustain awareness and encourage responsible driving.
