Uri, Feb 20 : Uranbua Village, of Boniyar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have suffered due to power outages, The Power Development Department (PDD) office is situated near the Uranbua national highway, people has been plunged into darkness for the past 18 hours, Pdd department is in deep slumber locals faced hardships during this period of harsh winter’s.
Residents are perplexed as their area received no major snowfall but unfortunately yet the PDD department has failed to restore light services.
Speaking to the media, a local resident revealed that the PDD department inexplicably cut off the light services, leaving the community in the dark. Despite the absence of snowfall, the area remains without electricity for an extended period.
Uranbua Village, situated just 2-3 km away from the PDD department office, has not witnessed any departmental work. No employees have been observed performing their duties, and their absence has been noted by vigilant residents.
The concerned resident emphasized the need for urgent intervention, urging the DC Baramulla and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) to transfer staff assigned to Uranbua to avoid prolonged suffering without light connectivity.
Adding to the media the residents recalled a recent instance where the village endured a five-day period without electricity.
This plea serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by the community and highlights the critical need for immediate action.h
The community anxiously awaits a swift response from the PDD department to investigate and rectify the power outage issue in Uranbua Village. It is hoped that this incident prompts a dedicated and timely effort to restore power and prevent such disruptions in the future.
