*Passenger Vehicles in Kashmir to Participate in 2-Day ‘Steering Chodo Andolan’ Starting Tomorrow*
Srinagar, January 8: All passenger vehicles in the Kashmir valley are set to observe a two-day ‘Steering Chodo Andolan’ on January 9 and January 10.
According to Mohammad Shafi Mir, Chairman of the All Kashmir Transporters’ Confederation, the strike aligns with similar actions in Maharashtra, New Delhi, and various other states. The Kashmir-based transporters’ confederation has decided to extend its support to this nationwide movement.
“All categories of passenger vehicles will participate in the ‘Steering Chodo Andolan’ on January 9 and January 10,” Mir confirmed.
It’s worth noting that the All JK Oil Tankers Association, through a video statement, dismissed any reports of a strike initiated by the association.
Transporters are advocating for the reversal of penal provisions introduced by the Government of India concerning hit-and-run cases.
