*Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla ; Contraband substances recovered*
Baramulla January 5 (AIU NEWS): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Bonitar headed by IC SHO PS Boniyar at a checkpoint established at Boniyar Market, intercepted one person. During his search, 52 grams of Charas like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Mudasir Rashid Wani son of Abdul Rashid resident of Gantamulla Bala. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Boniyar were he remained in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Boniyar and investigations have been initiated.
