*Two Foreign Terrorists Killed in Kupwara Encounter, Large Cache of Arms Recovered*
*Srinagar, July 19* – Two foreign terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Keran area of Kupwara district on Thursday.
According to an official from the All India update on July 18, at approximately 12:30 PM, alert troops observed the movement of two terrorists through dense foliage on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC). The infiltrating terrorists were challenged by the troops, leading to an intense exchange of fire.
“Two hardcore foreign terrorists were neutralized, and a significant quantity of weapons, war-like stores, and a Pakistani identity card were recovered from the scene,” the official stated.
The official further noted, “This successful intelligence-based operation exemplifies the close synergy between the Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF), and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP).”
This marks the third successful anti-infiltration operation on the LoC in recent weeks, highlighting the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to maintaining the sanctity of the LoC and a robust counter-infiltration posture to ensure peace in the Kashmir Valley.
